Arrived in Las Vegas on Monday 31st October (Halloween). It looks nothing in the day, in fact it looks a bit gruby, but as soon as it gets dark the whole place is transformed and inside the casinos is something everyone should see. Las Vegas is definately a night time town, I would advise going going to Hoover Dam or Grand Canyon in the day, then get back to Las Vegas for when it gets dark.

We went to Hoover Dam on Tuesday, was smaller than I expected but when you listen to the tour guide its amazing they built it from start to finish in 5 years. Our tour guide was called Forrest, I thought this was just a made up name for the film, but apparently not :-)

On Wednesday we went to the west rim of the Grand Canyon on a helicopter, Dai was not looking forward to the helicopter flight, but he loved it when he was in there and jumped at the chance to go in the front.
