Today, after reaching Vadakara, I first checked into the hotel, booked by my friend whose wedding I'm going to attend tomorrow. It was nice sunny day today till the evening. After having lunch, I took a power nap and then started for the nearby point of interest, Lokanarakavu temple. It's around 5 kms from the town. When I started from the town, there was no sign of rain, but as soon as I reached the temple, I could see clouds on eastern horizon. The main temple is dedicated to the goddess Bhagavati. There are other two temples of shiv and Vishnu. By the time I was coming out from the first temple, may be in 15 minutes, half the sky was covered. I said, just allow me 10 minutes please... I visited the other two temples, almost near the shelter of a nearby shop, and it started raining very heavily. Nice sunny day to massive thunderstorm in half an hour! I had to wait almost 45 minutes, meanwhile I got nice pictures of the evening oil lamps at the temple.
In the evening, while returning back to the town, I visited one Ayurved center, in a very old impressive mansion. Kerala is known for Ayurvedic medical tourism. After this, calling it a day, I'm back to my room. Planning to get some sleep and get ready for a Malayalam wedding tomorrow.
