Hi Phil got the web site off your Mum & Dad finding it very interesting your certainly getting about. We have also been to Orkney found it a very interesting place we visited the places you mentioned. Did you get to the 5000 years old settlement Scara Brea (think thats how you spell it) also had some good views of the Old Man of Hoy fron the ferry. That would be some climb, not for the faint hearted Take care Les

Yo Phil.
Come on, a shave and head massage is only 20 rupees (25p).
The further south you go the better it gets. Don't forget when you get to KunyaKumari (southern tip of India) visit the temple at low tide.

Lots of love and best wishes for an exciting New Year!

Yo Phil,
Glad to here it. When you cut across the country, don't miss Sai Baba, he's regarded as a living god with millions of followers. His site is located an hours drive north east of Bangalore, just ask the people where you stay. Also Mesore a bit further west of Bangalore is nice.
Looks like we may break the 1740 record of 20 days of below 0 weather here in the UK.
I'll give you more info as you travel

Yo Phil,
Looks like you're beginning to relax. Your trek sounds like a difficult one.
News from Manchester: went for beers at the Knott yesterday. TDS have made all the sales team and a.n.other redundant and more on the way. They're moving to a building opposite with no test, validation or labs. The MD (an accountant) thinks they don't need it.
Adam's now rented his flat out and moving to Spain next week.
I'm at home doing OK with the share deals. This week was really nice and sunny, so went for walks, swimming etc.
Keep posting. I've nearly finished the Japan blog and will post as soon as it's finished.

You couldn't stop off in Delhi could you; to help with the Commonwealth Games. I hear they could do with a little help.
