I just wish I could have people with me from home to see Koh Tao. Literally takes your breath away. Soon as got here which was quite late around 7.30pm from Koh Samui a hour and a half boat trip I looked up Sairee as the place to go so got the taxi to drop me off right in the middle of it. Short walk and found 'Big Blue' which on Trip Advisor people were raving about so managed to get a 4 day course for 9000 baht which is around £180 including accommodation! So so cheap. Short walk to the dorms which weren't great only had fans so it was f***in boiling to sleep with 6 bunk beds in. Went down the restaurant had some food (pad Thai shock) and just chilling by the bar when this kid who was just like Rakey ha got me involved in his group. A round of shots and then that was it we went all along the beach drinking buckets doing balloons having a rave in one place it was quality! Literally took over one place dancing on the tables, tearing it up! Moped home was eventful :) Next morning, wow just walk outside the dorm I had only seen the beach in the evening but it was truly stunning. Sairee Beach is the best thing I have ever seen it is a picture of perfection amazing view, beach as crystal and clear as you can get and the sea is just incredible so warm. An Italian guy Tonino and a worldy French-Canadian girl Marissa were in my dorm so I was with her the whole time as she was on the same course. Chilled on the beach all day and had first session which I nearly fell asleep in haha the videos were real boring. Then few of the guys on the course we were just having a couple of Changs and had an early night as we had homework to do :) This morning we started our course proper with the tanks and setting them up and checks etc, went into the water and I had tests and checks before as with asthma you shouldn't really dive but nothing was gonna stop me but in the end it did I struggled big time with it all I nearly passed out at one point in an exercise but never mind it wasn't meant to be would have loved it! Looked it up loads before and it did say and even here the checks and talks were real thorough but what can I do it is what it is. Erik our instructor was a legend with it all. A big thing here is the Koh Tao pub crawl so gonna do that tonight the tomorrow head to Nang Yuan which Leanne mentioned then head somewhere else as Koh Tao is mainly for diving. If anyone wants a serious lush island to go to, Koh Tao is it! Haven't even been to Phi Phi yet...
