After a day in bed hungover which I don't plan on doing again as I'm so short of time here and having to move my Skyrail trip to today I am feeling fresh today! Hangovers I can't do anymore if I haven't realised that before yesterday was it. So got the bus at 9.30am had an interesting FaceTime call before that from a very drunk Jessie and Kristy ha! :) Bus would take us to Kuranda and then to the rainforest where we would begin our Skyrail day. Views were stunning in the pods high up into the rainforest, got the chance to roam around with a guide as well in between stops which was interesting. One stop was breathtaking had a clear view of Cairns it looked massive past the rainforest. Another stop we saw the Barron Falls waterfall which got some great pictures of. After the scenic route in the pods we got dropped off in Kuranda where we would go around the village there. Was seriously boiling hot here loads to do and plenty of time before my train back to Cairns at 2.30pm. Went to the Koala village where had my photo taken with a koala and also in here were crocodiles, kangaroos where you could feed them, snakes (didn't go in, shock), wombats and turtles amongst loads of others. Saw a plane wreck that happened close to the village also around 50 years ago. Walked around getting some good pictures and souvenirs for home then got the train at Kuranda train station. This route on the train was amazing the views were awesome and we would stop off twice at a waterfall and again at a viewpoint to take it all in and take pictures. Took ages to build this railway line not surprising it was right on the edge of the cliff rock some of it was pretty daunting looking over the edge out of the window. This dropped us off at Cairns central which was like a 10 minute walk back to the hostel so ended up just staying by the lagoon and sorting out what I would be doing for the next few days as Craig and Chloe would be here so will head to Port Douglas tomorrow as it is my last night at Lazy Duck. Back at the hostel met 4 lads 3 from Denmark and 1 from Liverpool Matthias, Oliver, Jeppe and Matthew and also Tanya from behind the counter joined us too. Quality lads they had travelled together up here and were a great laugh had a few drinks at the hostel then went out. Tanya went home early as she was f***ed, heavy night at the Woolshed all on the dance floor. Funny as f*** seeing a 80 year old grandma dancing on a table as well ha! Not something you see every night! :) I headed back with Oliver he was para didn't plan on a heavy one but all getting on the Jagers for fun! Decent last night in Cairns although will be back in a few days after Port Douglas
