Well arrived in Paris Gare Du Nord on time and first job, adjust watches, now at least we won't miss the train out. Next job, find the hotel. Very impressive start to the journey to Paris. St pancras is something to be marvelled at. Shaky managed to get through passport control ok, which is always a bonus! Tried to blag a first class upgrade but failed miserably as the train is full. Maybe on the way back then. The train is a bit grotty but comfy enough. Well managed to get out if bed in time after a short sleep and the weather is beautiful this morning. Taxi turned up on time and after a pleasant conversation with the driver on the way to the station about our trip, I now realise that he knows our house will be empty for the next week. Well just arrived hone from the Take That concert in Sunderland, which was absolutely amazing and can now grab a few hours sleep before getting up and doing the final checks for our trip. We have run it a bit fine with the accommodation considering that as I sit here typing sleepy eyed Fiona is booking the last of the hotels at Lake Garda, but she's found us a nice one. Right night night all and will be sure to update again soon.
