Had a bite to eat at what can only be described as someone's front garden. It was ok and hot. We did think we were being adventurous though, until our pork chop and chicken schnitzel were put before us! It sounded much more exotic on the menu. Anyway, it was followed by Egyptian ice cream. It was neither Egyptian and was served warm, so does not count as ice cream either.

Into Milan and we are getting a dab hand at the bus/tram scenario. Il Duomo - magnificent. But that is all there really is to Milan. It has taken me several city breaks for me to realise that I am not city girl!

The standout moment of our journey back to the hotel, was when the tram lines we were on had barriers across while the roadworks were being carried out. A stand off ensued until eventually the workmen moved all their stuff to the other side of the road, just in time for tram coming the opposite way. If they hadn't been wearing bright orange I would swear it was Laurel and Hardy.

Off to sleep now as have to be up early to fill up with brekkie before Lake Garda.
