Spent a couple nights at our favourite hotel in Banff...The Hidden Ridge Resort and got to meet Tracey and Steph's newest addition to the family...Sebastian. On top of visiting we also took a couple drives up the Bow Valley Parkway which we always enjoy! Really hard to believe the damage the flooding did to this area too. Got back to Lethbridge to spend a couple of days visiting with Dad, Betty and Brad (Ammy, Ampy and Uncle) as well as seeing Aunty Rita and Uncle Doug...or "Uncle Dog" as the kids call him. While there we also got to catch one of Brad's soccer games while he was playing in the Southern Alberta Summer Games. Also checked out some Dragon Boat racing and got to see Leah's team race. Oh yeah, had another visit with great grandma Sylvia which was nice too!

We spent three days cleaning ALL the stuff out of the basement and garage with Helena. It is absolutely crazy to see the damage that was done to this town! The restoration company will be coming in a few days to suck out all the sewage sludge and water still left in the basement and garage. They will also rip out the drywall and insulation as well as sterilize both. Luckily it sounds like Helena will be fully insured as sewage backup is what caused all the damage...

Not the way we really wanted to start our summer holidays...but I'm sure it's not the way anyone in High River wanted to start their holidays either! So here we are to start the cleanup of Oma's condo. Today I took care of the kids while Meipsy and Oma worked on sorting through the flood damage. The work was made even more difficult due to the 34 degree weather! Tomorrow the kids will be going to daycare in High River at a dayhome that offered to take kids for FR...
