Hi all,
Am in Byron Bay and having a very chilled few days! Stopped at Coffs Harbour for a few nights, saw a BIIIIG banana (Seriously, it was huge, the weirdest tourist sight I've seen yet) and went on lots of walks! Very tame and my liver has fully recouperated from New Zealand now I think. Has been nice to do very little! Coffs Harbour is really small and there's not a huge amount to do, hired a bike (My arse is STILL hurting, next time I'm going to ask for a cushion) and cycled all over the place, climbed a REALLY big hill and hid from the crazy Dutch girl who decided I was to be her new friend. On route to Byron we stopped at another weird Ozzie sight...The big prawn! Unfortunately I couldn't eat it.
Byron is very cool, very chilled and the beach is 5 minutes from my hostel! Again, went on a LOOOONG walk yesterday up to Cape Byron Lighthouse. Got excited when saw I was at the most Easterly point of the Ozzie mainland and dodged big waves walking back along the beach! Haven't tried surfing yet but it's on the list of things to do! Spent today lying on the beach (It's a hard life) and am now going to lie by the pool!
Am VERY excited about tomorrow as I'm going to Surfers to see Mel for a few days, methinks the liver may be punished again...
That's all from me, just so you know, it's in the high twenties here and I'm having to wear lots of suncream....what's it like at home!?
