Hi all,

Having been informed that my last few blogs have been "geeky"(What do you people want from me I'm a teacher!! haha just kidding) I promise to keep this one as low brow as possible.

Sihanoukeville is Cambodia's answer to Ko Phangnan, cool beach, loads of bars and cheap beer. After doing loads in Siem Reap and Phnom Pehn it was a relief to get some beach time and chill out...which is ALL we've done for the last few days!

The beach is 2 minutes from our hotel and nice, if a little dirty. The food is cheap and good (Seafood BBQ on the beach for $3 dollars!? Selina likes very much) and the beer is also cheap (50c). Kim and myself have decided however that buckets of vodka and red bull must've been sent by Satan himself and that we are officially TOO OLD for that kind of behaviour. Our big night out on the beach ended with neither of us really remembering much and with me donating a large amount of dollars to an amputee who was begging in the evening...Oh dear. Well at least it went to a good cause. The following day started well, but we ended up back in bed for 3 hours before we could face the beach again...See? TOO OLD.

Anyway, apart from that madness we've done b***** all! I've become even browner than I was, Kim has some attractive pink shading going on and we befriended a group of kids who have stalked us all week to buy fruit, bracelets and have manicures and pedicures. I laughed my arse off at Kim who succumbed to buying a string shrimp (Yes it's as tacky as it sounds) on the very first day....and of course I ended up buying one that night! They were really sweet kids though we couldn't help it! We were rewarded for our loyalty to them today with a free bracelet and a string fish. Good times.

So that's all from Cambodia, it's safe to say I've had a fantastic time here. It's been one of my highlights of this trip and I'll definitely be back in a year or two! We head to Vietnam on an early bus tomorrow and will work our way up to Hanoi over the next few weeks.
