Made it to Hong Kong fine. We had an 8 hour layover in Vancouver because Lorne was overly cautious in allowing plenty of time in the event that weather or equipment issues might delay the flight from Courtenay to Vancouver. Left Vancouver on Cathay Pacific at nearly 3:00am Thursday morning and, 14 hours later arrived in Hong Kong. We don't leave until Wednesday, Oct. 28, but I wanted to get the blog started early to make sure I had it all figured out. The first real entry will probably be October 30 or so either from Hong Kong (en route) or from Pretoria after we arrive in South Africa. Hopefully we can keep this site updated every day or two.
