Today was our last day touring….we leave tomorrowL. These days have gone by so fast. Today day we had an Art Nouveau city tour. Our main focus was on the man who is considered to have built the first Art Nouveau building using metal as decorative trim. His work is absolutely amazing! We got to tour his house that is now a museum where we say the most lavished staircase made of woodwork. The banister is made up of a vine décor that he began called the "whiplash." He was such a genius of an architect I can't wait to read more on him. The toilet they installed in 1906 had a logo of patent that said - Quality Seal - Patent by Thomas Crapper Co., hence the crapper. We then went to the Magritte Ancient and Fine Art Museum. This museum was so big that it actually had a -8 floor and an elevator that had comfy chairs so you could sit as you went up a couple until the top!
On our way to dinner we stopped to see the peeing Belgium boy called the Mannequin Piss, who is said to have saved the town from a fire by peeing it out. As we walked in the down town corridor making our way to the restaurant for a traditional Belgian meal, on the way an Italian stopped my friend Beth mimicking her Americaness by saying, "Oh my God, that is so amazing" "That is so awesome." Apparently, what they do is try to get people's attention to convince them to come and eat at their restaurant or flirt with girls. One asked me if I would give him a little kiss, I just laughed and brushed him off. A young girl in our group decided to stop by that same guy and he ended up mulling her trying to kiss her on the mouth and groping her. She was so frightened screaming for us, but we were so far ahead that we didn't hear her. Luckily another girl was straggling and was able to pull her away from him. This poor girl shows up to the restaurant in tears so frightened. After that craziness and a glass of wine in here, we just had to let it go and decided not to go and call the cops or have my professor and one of the guys confront him. The food was so eccentric and really good I tried fried mussels, and they were great! We had a great time reminiscing over our days together and recanting favorite memories. It is so sad that tomorrow we head back to reality, but I'm ready to leave. This experience has been so educational and so much fun. We have to make a top 20 list for our last class this week….I'll try to narrow it down, but as of right now I have a top 34.
Thank you for keeping up with me. It's been so great sharing my moments with you even if it was via the internet.
Love,
Sehila

Brooke Wow! That was the quickest long Euopean vaca I've ever been on. I can't believe it's over. What am I going to read now?! I really felt as though I was there (minus the walking & creepy food I'm too picky to eat) :) I'm so happy you got to experience this trip. I'm sure by the time you read this you'll be back so welcome home, Groovy Chicken. Love, Awesome Grape xoxo
