Hello all, sorry for the delays of this update but the internet connection on the Island where I was all this week didn t allow me to update this journal... I guess that sum up the place. I finally moved from East coast Ko Samui to the West coat on Phi Phi Island. I don`t think that there is enough superlative to describe the place... lost in the middle of the Andaman sea, reachable after 2 hours of boat... Phi Phi is made of around 10 beaches, only accessible by small taxi boat as there is no raod on the Island. Most of those beaches have been distroyed during the 2004 Tsunami, but although this stills massively presents in locals mind, there is little trace of it on the Island as most of the resort have been rebuilt. For those who likes references, this is where the movie The Beach has been shoot (bit of the rubbish movie, but the scenery just amazing). Just try to imagine what the ideal beach may looks like, and if you re thinking of long white sand socluded by the jungle, coconut & palm tree, see through ligth blue sea, 25 plus degree water, multi colour fishes of different sizes, monkeys & exotic birds in the background, well Phi Phi is pretty much that. I ve stayed there 4 days and done...... pretty much nothing ...except going to the beach, having 3-4 Thai meals a day, snorkelling, napping, and going partying at nigth in the main village of the island (by taxi boat)... and believe me, I could have easely done that for a month long...
