Arrived at Auckland on Saturday. Nice, big, beautiful city with a quite impressive harbour. I guess with big cities, it is full of people, the nigth life is cool, but it is quite impersonal and the things to do are maybe less mind blowing than in the country side. This area is recognised as the cultural capital of the Maori in NZ, mainly due to the high concentration of Maoris and to the endless number of battle which occured in the region between rival Maori tribes, and between Maori and the English INVADERS.
