Just about survived the Rio Carnival - I thought if the round of parades and street parties didn't exhaust me then the armed thieves might!! I took sometime out for a few days on Cocabana beach where i gained just a few extra freckles . . . no sign of a tan yet though! Heading to Santiago for a little more refined city bustle before heading out to NZ. xx

Just had a fabulous, yet very different Christmas, in Argentina. I've never had Christmas lunch in my swim suit before!! It was facinating to experience the distinct change in landscape, culture and people which became apparent immediately after crossing the Bolivian boarder. Lots more to explore, we plan to weave in and out of Chile and Argentina as we go further south. xx

The most amazing adventure . . . three days hiking to reach Machupicchu. The physical tiredness was nothing in comparasion with the effect of the altitude (that's my excuse for the heavy weasing and I'm sticking to it). As soon as I get the pictures of this mystical land I'll post them on the website. x
