Packed. Went into Cairns. Had lunch at Ochre. I had game platter, croc, kangaroo and emu. Liked kangaroo best was like lean steak. Emu was bit like mild duck and croc a bit like chicken but was in spicy batter so bit diff to say! Went into mall and along to esplanade which was lovely. Weather today was warm and sunny.

Back off up the coast to Port Douglas today. Markets by the marina. Lots of stalls selling cold fresh cane/fruit juice. Had lunch in the town. All feeling bit weary and not 100% so headed back to the apartment with cold relief tablets and snacks for an afternoon of films/golf..

Up early, drove up the coast road to Cape Tribulation. Stopped at Daintree village, drizzling!! Decided against a river cruise. Went to Discovery Centre followed the boardwalk round, listened to commentary re trees, flora and fauna. Didn't see a Cassowary!! Carried on up to the Cape, took loads of photos, saw a little crab and it's patterns in the sand. On the drive back down saw a cassowary at the side of the road. Lunch at Whet. Drove back, takeaway Thai curry....

Lazy start, watched tv, etc. Matty and I went for a run on the beach. Drove to Coffee Works, a coffee plantation that makes coffee and chocolate. Yum, sampled and bought both. Dinner at Krocodillos. Watched golf/ DVD 's.

Up early to get to kuranda before first sky train!! First ones in koala park. Had pictures taken with Hogan a male 6 year old koala. Very sweet and soft but sharp claws. Then fed wallabies and female kangaroo with a joey in her pouch. Saw snakes and reptiles. Shopped in Market and bought rings and tee-shirts. Emily and I went down by sky train stopping at 2 rain forest stations on the way. Matty and Kev drove back down taking pics on way. Drove to Cairns for lunc...
