Greetings from sunny London again and hope this finds you both well. How brave have you been in China so far in terms of trying out all the local delicacies food wise? Thought I had better warn you......people to avoid in Beijing over the next few days, Liz Reid and the SSAT contingency there for the iNET conference. Not sure of the venue but they are definitely in Beijing!! Photos are amazing and enjoying hearing all your travel tales. Take care and be in touch soon. Debbiex

Hello Playmates
Amazing photos and tales of your travels. When you go to China say haro our nephew Rorie. He is in a place called Fouzou. He should be easy to spot as he is 6 foot 4. He is having a ball over there and they think he is a giant. Have you met any Montrosians yet on the way? You might find Westy in a bar in the middle of Queensland !! Saw Davie Paton from Pilot the other week. He is playing in the House Band at Jools Hollands Jam House in Embra. He totally ignored my drunken shouts for Just a smile. Fud.
All for now and have fun

Hiya E&M (isn?t that the name of a shop somewhere??).
So?just about 6 weeks away now. So, does it feel like its been so long or is time flying? No two days the same. Very few mornings waking up in the same place twice. We?re keenly watching the website and reading your postcards. We can see that you?re really having an adventure and making lots of new friends of all nationalities on the way.
We particularly like the luxuriousness of the Ger you stayed in a few nights ago?.you guys really ARE living it up!!
To be honest, we?re not convinced by any of it. We?ve seen all your photos on other websites. We think you have just downloaded them and are running this website from Jim and Pam?s back bedroom here in jolly old Worcester Park. We reckon you?ve sold up and are saving to splash out on all our Chrimbo pressies. Good on ya!! Mine?s the new Porsche Cayman AND Julie?s is some Prada.
Seriously though, we hope that you?re loving it all as much as your site shows and that it just continues to get better and better.
We?re all looking forward to spending many years to come with you amazing all of our kids with stories from round the world. You will be the Phileas Fogg?s and Roald Dahls of the Scott family.
Enjoy
Love and kisses??Rob, Julie and Hannah-Bananah!! X X X

Dear Eric & Margaret
Blimey!! All these people writing to you!! Are they all real people or are you scamming me by writing to yourselves under different pseudonyms?!!!! I mean, anyone reading this (is it a blog?) would think you guys are popular!!!
Anyway, glad to see so many well wishers have looked after you on your momentous journey. It's been great today to see your progress. Seeing I was the only person in Western Europe not to have a hangover from your various farewells, you will be glad to know I have today a "hubbly bubbly" hangover from a really great idea I had late last night!!
Please keep us all up to date with various escapades (especially look-a-likes!! - Take a picture of the REAL Officer Dibble when you meet him!!). If you're finding Mongolia a tad chilly pop down here (Dubai) for a warm up - it's cooling down now but still 41 degrees today (That's Celsius!!) You know you're always welcome.
Lots of love to you both
Jeremy

Kalimera Min and Miness
Just back from Crete after a wonderful two weeks in the sun. My grasp of the language was not impressive as I was walking about for days saying to people Calamaris instead of Kalimera. So they were greeted by an erse of a Scotsman shouting SQUID at them every morning. How is your Mongolian?
Found a humorous sentence on an Olympic Tour notice board in Crete. I always wondered what caused the culturally advanced race - the Minoans - to be wiped out almost overnight.
Some say it was due to a volcanic eruption on Thira which caused a huge tsunami to engulf Crete. But no according to the notice board this is what happened. I quote: Come and learn about the mystical ancient Minoans who mysteriously disappeared on a an Olympic day excursion to the Palace of Knossos."
I gritted what teeth I have left and decided to chance a trip to the palace and lived to tell the tale.
Just read your postcard and checked you photo album from the train journey and it sounded pretty similar to a journey back from Hamilton one night in 1972 when I travelled with the supporters bus to a Montrose away game. The driver would stop to let us out for a Johnny Cash and I have never experienced so much discomfort since my Nobby Stiles were playing up a few years ago.
Well done for holding it in for that amazing amount of time. David Blaine would be impressed also.
Photos are also impressive. Keep smiling and look forward to hearing of more adventures.
Take care Jim B

We are back home after a very enjoyable holiday at Coylumbridge. Catching up on your travels since we came back, hope you are enjoying Mangolia. It certainly sounds as though you are having a great time.

Hi Eric and Margaret
Trust this finds you both well, chilled, renewed, perhaps challenged at times. It certainly looks and sounds as if you are having the time of your lives. Meanwhile, life goes on in old Blighty as Autumn really sets in. One of the highlights here being Camden reimbursing the £250 penalty charge.....result!! Other news, on the look out for a new job and getting my hip sorted out. Keep those photos and stories coming.....genki de, Debbie p.s nice shoes!

Hi Folks
We feel like armchair travellers, clicking into your big adventure. Wicker, Palin - now Scott(s) - always a right good read /view.
Oh, my brother Ian is going to China late October for a holiday, so you are bound to bump into him. He'll be the one in the Montrose FC Away Strip (1978).
