Hi!
We have finally got our laptop back after having lots of problems with it and having to send it back to Lenovo.
I will brief you shortly on our travels from Cafayate, through Bolivia and Peru and finally here in America.
Cafayate was one of the absolute favorite places on our trip. We loved it there and its beautiful food and wine. Cafayate is one of the worlds highest wine region and their wine is therefore delicious, better than Mendoza to our taste.
We were there for a week, walking around the bodegas, drinking wine, eating cheese, cooking and spoiled ourselves with wonderful food and also did a trek one day in the amazing landscape which surround Cafayate. Mountains with waterfall and huge cactus.
We made nice friends and had a chance to practice our Spanish big time because the guy we lived with didn't speak one word of English and we shopped for plenty of groceries and virtually no one in the village spoke English.
We also made friends with a lot of street dogs, one in particular.
To and from Cafayate was also this amazing landscape which looks like a smaller version of Nevada. It was a pleasure to go through there with the bus.
Another thing was that we had our second earthquake in Cafayate. I dont know if it was mentioned before but we had a pretty big one in Mendoza which shook our whole bed and woke most of the people up in the middle of the night.... yea, everyone except Scott, the sleepy bear!
