Our blogging skills are slowly disappearing, but we wanted to update anyway. We enjoyed our days in Venice and were able to relax and take in the beautiful scenery. Canals, bridges, boats, and water... Everywhere. It is utterly amazing how this town operates with absolutely no cars, truly a beautiful thing to see. From one beautiful place to the next, we are now in Cinque Terre and staying in the first fisherman village called Riomaggiore. Our apartment has a balcony and terrace that overlooks the gorgeous Mediterranean Sea and sitting here every morning eating breakfast has been nothing less than perfect. Our first night here a storm was on its way so we walked 300 feet to a cliff over looking the water and simply stood there for over an hour in amazement in the 15-18ft waves crashing against the rocks and shooting up water over 30ft and misting us almost every time. The raging waves were putting on a show and we were lucky enough to be here to see it. Absolutely amazing. Yesterday we got to hike through three villages and the scenery was some of the most beautiful places that Mother Nature has to offer. We enjoyed dinner after watching the sunset over the sea and talked about how fortunate we are to get to see the world together. Yesterday was amazing and today's weather wasn't supposed to be the best, but luck is definitely on our side and we have been sitting outside on our balcony and looking out to the sea and taking the time to soak up this wonderful town.
