We did get to see Phil Read & daughter Lauren (6 yrs old) but missed Tracy as we had to make an attempt at getting up past Seattle tonight.
A few catch phrases from this trip were "Johnny Rockets" for the lousy food from the same named food kiosk in 6 Flags near San Francisco (N). How you screw up French Fries I'll never know. Mark had a lot of fun with that one!
Also, "The Beast", aptly coined by Jessica in Seaside, Oregon outside of our Hotel, Rivertide Suites. It was a brown UPS Van that was right outside the Hotel doors and thereafter all brown UPS Vans were hailed as "The Beast"!
These were all earlier in the trip, but I got this app only in the last day or two so it will come across a little jumbled.
Well, we made it just north of Olympia, the Capitol of Washington.
Joined the Best Western club today. Maybe score a free stay one day.
So hotels of choice these days is either Holliday Inn Express or Best Western. Free hot breakfasts in the morning are one of the hooks working to attract clientele.
