Hello everyone! Well, what can I say? So far I've been havin' fun. Before Las Vegas and Hollywood, I haven't really been out anywhere for a while. Although I have gone out of the country (Guatemala and Mexico) and state (Arkansas, Missouri, also passed thru Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma on road trips), I was young and either have no recollection of those visits or I was just visiting family.
So, Las Vegas has to be my first independent adult vacation! 4 fun filled days and it still wasn't enough! So much to see, so much to do! I must go back again!
We started off by picking up my two counsins from LAX in Los Angeles around 2am! They were supposed to arrive earlier but the plane was delayed and they were having luggage problems. Anyways, there were 5 of us, my brother, my brother's brother-in-law, my 2 Arkansas cousins and me.
We arrived at Las Vegas around 6:30 in the morning and the sun was out nice and shiny! The weather started off in the 80's and reached 106 at some point. We got to stay at the New York New York, which was VERY nice and got to walk down the searing hot Strip. All of the hotels were just awesome! Fun to gamble at, fun to watch shows at and fun to PARTY AT!! LAX was the club we got to get down and dirty at (lol, From the airport to the club, funny!). The food was also 'The Bomb!' and all in all, it was a great experience.
Although I really didn't get to see it all, I hope to someday go back and do it all again!! w00t!
As for Hollywood, that had to have been the quickest trip ever. We arrived around 8pm-ish and left after 11pm. lol! We saw the Hollywood sign from Griffith Observatory and got to check the observatory as well. Then we went to look at the Star Walk. Not exactly what I expected but oh well! It was still fun in a sense.
Well, that's it for this blog I guess. Don't know what else I'm supposed to type but yeah, Welcome to the start of 'My Life's Travels'!
** In memory of my loving dad, Carlos A. Lopez**
who told me to enjoy my youth and see the world!
Love and miss you very much Dad!! :')
