Bit of an overdue blog........

currently in the Philippines - another destination never planned on our trip, but great dive sites and some people that we have met convinced us to come here..... and we're really glad they did!

Flying into Manila from Boreno, we came travelled through the capital city, noticing both the poverty and the abudance of fast food chains. We stayed in Manila for 2 days - as it was over the easter weekend everything was closed, which was a bit of a shame. We then flew south to Legaspi. The airport was a small wooden building and Tim advised that there was no-one in the control tower, we felt like we were really travelling again.

In the couple of weeks that we have been here we have snorkled and dived with whale sharks - they were amazing! In Malapasua we dived with huge Manta ray, had a hut on the beach and met up with a few of our friends from Boreno. As the Philippines is made up of around 7000 islands, we have been travelling on a few boats - which has been fun. We are now in Aluna  - as small island just off Bohol. We hope to dive here quite a bit, and now that there is internet, telephones and roads ( something that has been missing from a few of the islands we have been on) we'll be able to keep in contact more .

 Only a few weeks left, much fun to be had.
