Ume-san in an amazingly friendly potter and ceramics artist who showed us around his two exhibitions and took us out for lunch. I drank coffee from a beautiful and unique mug in a cafe in Shishikui (the place we went surfing), started speaking to people there and found out about Ume-san, learned about his exhibit from his wife who was also there, and decided to go. I am humbled by the warmth and creativity of this great man.
