I hitched a ride from Wanaka to Cromwell (hitching is very popular here & good way to get around, it took half hour to get to Cromwell), so that I could stop here for a few hours to go horse riding with Beth, a friend of Hannah monks who I stopped with in Nelson! She warned me her horse I could ride is a bit of a pickle & bucks a lot but I accepted the challenge! As soon as I got on he bucked & span round but I stayed on! We went on a stunning trek for around an hour & a half up mountains that overlooked lakes etc for miles! Mondo bucked a good 5 times but I stayed on :-) it made the ride more fun I'd say!! We met up with Beth's friends from the farm & joined their trek which was lovely to meet them, they said if I get work here & live nearby I can ride the horses whenever I want! So lovely! We washed off the horses then tied them to the quad bike, I hopped on with Beth & we took them to their field, amazing! Mac, one of the kiwi bus drivers I had for a bit, came & picked me up & carried on the half hour drive to queenstown and I checked back in to nomads & caught up with my gang!
