Hola!

I am still in Mexico - after arriving from L.A without my bag!! They had left it in the airport..bad times! Then on 2nd day a man came into our room and stole money out of my wallet...it did not start well. But by afternoon on 2nd day - my bag had been found and was on the next flight and I spoke to dad which always helps! So I started to enjoy Mexico City which was actually very pretty and lots to do.

ON 7th we left Mex City and headed to Oaxaca - a nice place but not too much to do. We only spent one night and then we got a night bus to a place called Palenque. We stayed in the rainforest in a hut with a hammocl outside.-.it did rain though! Woke up to rain the next day but we still went to the Palenque Maya runins which are in the pic.
They were really beautiful adn interesting!!

After Palenque we caught the night bus to Tulum which is on the coast just down from Cancun, it was a nice beach town but way westernised!
We went to the Maya runins on the beach, it had been a trading post. WE also sat on the beach there which was so nice!!
Went out for food..something western for a change too..pizza yum lol

Next day we were off again to Cacnun....Americanised!!!!! But nice.
WE stayed at a hostel which was great - everyone ate dinner together and got on really well, Monica (woman who owned hostel was great). Our first night we drank and headed to a club..mixed group, some austrlians, english, indian, american, and of course scottish. Was a great night...felt it in the morning though!
WE headed to the beach, it was a little overcast but there was some sun....me being hungover wasnt as good with suncream and my bum got a little burnt lol serves me right!
Hingover and beach..not good. But had a good time with our little group. Night was quiet it rained on and off, but just few drinks and dinner with everyonen at hostel...even a slightly early night!

Next day..the rain came! We all just sat in watching it pour down! So it was like a sunday at home..few beers..watched the football, played cards!
The streets were flooding so when we nipped to shop (for more beer) we just went barefoot! Was fun...but beer and then tequila turned into drunk and drinking games at 2am and fell into bed gone 3am....was nice haha!
Woke up next day and Beth and I were heading to Isle Mujures...only about 15mins on ferry from Cancun.
Weather was rubbish.......rain and more rain and the wind..my lord was so bad!
Ferrry was ok..I was feeling a little seasick and when we got to our hotel, we had a double bed each...LUSH!!!
But then the rain and wind picked up - all we could do was sit in and read and watch the sea rage and the trees blow sideways!

A trip to the shop saw us soaked to the skin so we bunkered down for the night! Fun times.
Today it has not rained yet (touch wood..my head!) we have jad a walk around the island and looked around the shops.
Tomorrow its back to Cancun to fly to Costa Rica....we only have 12days till we get on plane to UK...so go away volcanic ash!!!!

I wil get more pics up soon but comps are quite slow so it may have to be when I get home! I wil get up more NZ, Fiji, LA, Mexico and Costa Rica!!
