In pucon now, which seems to be the capital of all extreme activities, tomorrow i am hiking up an active volcano which has alot of snow at the top. the hostel we are stying in is so quaint , i have met a few americans , and irish people there , which has really persuaded me theat travelling on my own is going to be fine ! plus i have finished the life of pi and started a new book that i switched at the hostel called the rainmaker, by john grisham, i am almsot a third of the way through in just two days its so good.
So we climberd up the volcano, and the only thing that scared me was the fact we were so high up i never realised how scared of heights we were, but the view was awesdome, we were above the clouds, and altho the trek to the summit was 5hours of up hill through snow, i didnt struggle , so i definately feel fitter than i was. all ready for the inca trail now !
we went to a thermal bath place that night , to unwind, the water was so so hot it was like a hot bath, we all had wine, and spent the night forma bout 9 until half one relaxing in the spas, well worth it even though we were tired, as none of us really ached the next day.
just realxed on the beach yesterday and we are off to santiago today . the retsuarant at the hostel , is an all vegetarian supre healthy place but the food is amazing, it feels really home cooked and the people are so friendly , if anyone comes to pucon stay in hostel ecole!
lots of love
