Day 5 of the magical mystery tour
It's been a mad few days. Think I mentioned last time that we were going zorbing, well we went and zorbed, it was brilliant! They put you in a massive ball with a load of water and push you down a hill. The best one was where I tried running all the way down inside the ball, apparently I got further than 90% of people who try, so I was chuffed. After all that madness we went to some thermal springs in Waiteke valley for some chill out time. This spa complex is supplied with boiling hot water that comes from a natural spring that you can see just a little bit away from the pools. It was so relaxing! Stayed there over night and indulged in some more spa action in the morning. After that it was back on the road again to Lake Taupo where we had heard you could do sky diving. We arrived and within 2 hours I was on a plane being taken 12000ft into the sky to fall back to earth. It was incredible, apart from the not being able to breath part. We freefalled for 45 seconds and then when the parachute opened watched the sunset over the Lake. Jim didn't do a jump, he said, "It's a bit too scary for me," so he stayed on the ground and took some good photos of my landing. Went for a 10km walk today to Huka falls so we're a bit knackered now. For those of you who are fans of LOLR's, we're off to Mount Doom tomorrow for some valcano action. x x x x
