After an early start we began our trip along the Limestone coast. We left Victor Harbour in lovely sunshine and started our journey through Goolwa to Wellington where got a ferry boat across lake Alexandra (felt like we were in the movies). We continued along the Princess Highway through the Coorong National park which was very picturesque.Along this journey we saw a pink lake, a purple lake, and a grey lake-something to do with how the crystals form or something. We stopped for a bite to eat on Lake Albert where we went in search for tourist information and spoke to another lovely woman who yet again knew where we were from and has been to Liverpool.
We originally thought we would spend the evening in Salt Creek or Kingston but we continued through these empty villages to Robe.I have never experienced nothing until this leg of the journey there was nothing, no people, no cars and nothing but flat bush land.As we drove through Kingston Stu was extremely giddy to see Larry the giant lobster where we obviously had to take pictures despite the downpour. But as we got nearer to Robe a little seaside town the weather cleared and turned into a lovely evening. We ate some good fish and chips, obviously nothing compared to English fish and chips (they gave us salad instead of mushy peas-how weird) and set out for a camp site. We found a lovely little national park around Lake Eliza so decided to camp there.Well............................we ended up going on an off-road road if that is what it was. I am surprised Bruce survuied the harsh landscape but he did us proud and we found a nice little camp site-it was meant to have a toilet but oh no it had a long drop, wasn't very pleasant!!!!!After a lovely chat with mum and some star gazing we got an early night.
Woke up to glorious sunshine, the first day since we have been in Aussie and hopefully not the last.We decided to have a lazy morning we got back in Bruce our pretend 4 wheel drive and headed to the fantastic white sandy and clear water beach. We spent a few hours here swimming, sunbathing and finding some showers before we made lunch and headed off to Mt Gambier. We visited the Blue Lake which was as it sounds extremely Blue and sparkly was pretty. We intended to stay the night here but as the weather decided to go English again we got back into Bruce and headed to Portland via the lovely little fishing towns of Port Campbell and Nelson.Along the way to Port Campbell we found the Little Blue Lake which as it says is blue but a little version of the larger in in Mt Gambier. We arrived quite late in Portland but managed to have some tea a few schooners and watch a beautiful sunset. We are now in Victoria so we are 30 mins ahead compared to South Australia.
The Limestone Coast was beautiful, we saw gorgeous vast landscapes and little seaside towns where 200 people live, it was what I imagine the UK to of looked like many years ago.Tomorrow we hope to head for the Great Ocean Road and admire the apostles, can't wait!Night Night even though its only 9.15 here we are shattered.Toodle pip x

NicoRocks! How was Robe...?
sarah Robe was really CUTE as all the Aussies would put it. It had beautiful beaches with clear water. Just a little sea side town but not commercialised was a nice change compared to New Brighton. Good advice Nick you should go when you come visit us!!
