GOA - Happy faces all around...
There isn't a lot to be said about our 11 days in Goa, other than FAB FAB FAB! We didn't do much other than lie on the beach, drink Kingfisher or Kings (tough decision of the day) at lunchtime, lie on the beach again in the afternoon and then watch the sunset with a cocktail or two! Oh I tell a lie, we did also go dolphin watching one day, which was obviously very stressful.
We stayed at Baga beach in North Goa - a little more commercial than South Goa but still a great place and we had a proper hotel room which got cleaned every day at the charming Alidia Guest House - bliss! We then moved on to South Goa and lost our heads and hearts to Palolem Beach, so much so that we didn't even mind living in the most basic of beach shacks - still for 300 rps a night you can't complain! Plus we were very well looked after by the friendliest staff in town if not on earth. We didn't manage to move down to Patnem beach as we are enjoying Palolem too much, nor did we catch the night bus on the scheduled night, instead we stayed on for a whole week of spoiling ourselves rotten but can you blame us?
We met some really wonderful people and had some great nights particularly with Sarah's cousin Ade and his friends. We will let the photos speak for themselves but Goa (and in particular Palolem) was a total paradise particularly after travelling nearly 2 full days to get there! We have absolutely loved it and are gutted to leave but the trip must continue, plus it is soooooooo hot - we reckon mid to high 30's most days - which means that tanning is a test of endurance. We
better go before we melt!
