Once again we were up bright and early ready to get our bus to Bangkok. We boarded a lovely big coach to the Thai border, where we had to disembark. Once we crossed the border into Thailand we were ushered into over packed minivans (12 people, 12 backpacks then one of our fellow travel companions had thought it would be a great idea to bring a bike on board!). Bit squished but it was only a few hours to our final destination, Bangkok.
First stop Koh San road, a backpacker hotspot. We decided we wanted to hit MBK shopping centre to pick up some presents, our tuk tuk driver managed to convince us to visit a tailor first, just so that he could get petrol vouchers. He subsequently abandoned us at a giant Buddah statue nowhere near the shopping centre. Life lesson learnt... there is always a reason something is half the price!
Once we got our retail shopping hit, we went out to experience the infamous Bangkok nightlife. However, with an early flight and after two weeks of travelling and partying, we lost stamina and had to call it quits early. The following morning we headed home to Dublin, taking with us some amazing memories and souvenirs.
