The lovely Sucre
We woke up at La Escondita a little dusty after the festivities of last night but the 5 bolivianos eggs really hit the spot.
We spent the morning shopping for handbags, a makeup bag and any other items we came across, long story short, lots of shops. In the afternoon on our return back to our hotel I saw the first hostel I recognized the name of. This marked the start of the 'get my phone back' plan. It was a huge success as this hostel housed the English man!
I asked for the englishman at a hostel reception and explain why as best I could in broken Spanish. Much to my surprise i got my phone back, as a sleepy guy answered the door in his underwear. It must have been a big night, I just woke him up at 3pm.
We continued our way home where we walked the edge of the market for a few minutes before we went back to chill out.
Later that afternoon, we headed out for dinner and a language exchange called 'Gringo lingo' with The English couple. We enjoyed some nice food however the main event was the Gringo Lingo. It consisted of first writing down your name and the languages you speak, the tables were then given numbers along with a native Spanish speaker. They stayed at the table with others rotating. I guess it would be like speed dating. Five minutes in one language and five minutes in the other. We met a few really nice people and after we sat around talking as a group in Spanish, or the Spanish end of Spanglish. It was a brilliant night out and I would do this anywhere I could. It was such a fun way to improve a language
