Alto Gracia with Lenny Kravitz
We met up with Tom and Vera again, this time with three guys from another house, a German named Tim, Brazilian (who only speaks Portuguese and some Spanish) Adulto or Lenny Kravitz and a Guatemalan Andres. We headed to the town where Che grew up and the location of a historic estancia. It was nice to get out of the city again and this is a picturesque town. Che's history was interesting with a lot of information in English. This is also a time when we can see the Spanish is getting better. The real highlight is the seven of us together. Lots of laughing and spanish practice. We had a big lunch of pizza and talked and joked.
Sarah coined the term 'cheaper than Che' after it was expensive to get in there and cheaper in other museums, hence its cheaper than Che.
We finished the day with some large night markets. There were all kinds of local artists, leather workers, jewellery makers and all the usual market stuff. What was different was there were so many people holding puppies or kittens, at one point there was even people giving away kittens (you had to fill things out and qualify, not just like a lolly bag or pamphlet). It must be a place to take your animals.
There was no food at the market but we found an empanada place on the way home, about 3 for $2 and they are really good. I love the box for delivery, everyone loves empanadas!!

Dad OK I give up - what are empanadas?
Andrew empanadas are like mums parsties with anything you want in them. The best ones are the local ones. You will get to see them soon
