Oh my god!? Yes i did the canyon swing!? It was possibly the most terrified i've ever been, much to the amusement of the horrible men in charge of the bloody thing!? It was so so much fun tho, such a good adrenaline rush im still buzzing!? Now, what kiwi experience failed to mention is that the canyon swing people are bloody evil to the person who wins the free swing!? Basically they tricked me into falling in an even scarier way than normal.? When we got there i was absolutely petrified, shaking like a leaf!? I had to wait till 2nd to last to go and when it got to my turn i wanted to do the least scary swing where you are sat in an upright position and they cut the cord so you fall..but no i was tricked into falling down backwards!? When they suspended me over the canyon they made me lay back and hook my feet round the rope.? Then after much persuasion i had to let go and put my hands above my head, lean back and look at the cliffs behind me..then they cut the bloody rope so i went hurtling down head first!? You should have heard me scream i was so so scared!? The canyon swing guys thought it was the funniest thing they had ever seen tho, said that no one could have fell like i did if?they tried!? My legs were going mad so it looked like i was trying to run upside down!? Anyhow, it was only $5 for a second go so i somehow ended up being persuaded to go again!? When i got my harness back on tho i changed my mind cos i didnt trust that they would let me do the less scary swing.?? It was so funny i was literally clinging on to the side while these two guys were trying to peel me off and suspend me over the canyon!? And i was right not to trust them!? Instead of just suspending me then releasing it they attached me over the canyon by a piece of tatty old rope, and cut it strand by strand to see how many strands i would last!? I actually cried (and swore a lot, sorry mum!)!? Again they thought it was hilarious tho!? I got down to one strand and they were like ooh look at this, why dont you move around a bit!? Then they razored it until i eventually fell!? I was actually terrified!? No one but me and Fallon got such evil treatment!? I have to admit tho im so glad i did, i couldnt stop laughing after and the adrenaline rush is amazing!? Dont think im in a huge hurry to do it again tho!? Ive tried to put the video on here but it only shows the first bit.? You get the?idea tho, the whole video is so funny you'll have to see it when i get home!

Anyway what else have i been up to.? After the poo pub we made our way to Franz Josef.? Stopped on the way in a town with a population of 2, and ate in the roadkill cafe!? It was so random!? Its speciality was roadkill possum pie and there was a wierd little museum about the history of deer hunting and there was a wild pig and stuff, it was all just a bit wierd!? I swear the guy who owned it had just jumped out of the bush!? Franz Josef was amazing, its one of the worlds fastest moving glaciers.? We did a full day guided hike on it right up to what are called the waves.? It was hard work but so cool.?? The further up we got the more blue the ice became and we were going though tunnels in the glacier and through crevices and stuff.? It was unreal really!? Wait till you see the photos.? When we got back we all jumped in the hostels hot tub and recovered.? That was cool too, soaking in a hot tub in the middle of the rainforest!? Then we celebrated with a few drinks that evening!?

Our next stop was Wanaka.? On the way we went in puzzle world like big kids, and were truly defeated by a maze.? The illusion rooms were really cool too.? Wanaka is gorgeous, a really pretty town surrounded by mountains and a beautiful lake.? We just relaxed by the lake really, saving our energy for Queenstown!? We also stopped at a lovely little place called Arrowtown.  It used to be a gold mining town and its kept all its original character.  Its really pretty set amongst the mountains and there is a really interesting old Chinese settlement.  And good pies. Queenstown is awesom!?? Nine of us went up on the Gondola yesterday and spent the morning lugeing!? It was so much fun, the guys were being crazy as usual tho and crashing into each other, they actually went flying out of their carts at one point!? They were just laughing at us snails at the back of the track tho!? The views over Queenstown from up there were amazing too.? That afternoon we did the canyon swing and we've had a couple of really good nights out at the world bar where they give you your cocktails in a teapot!

Been to Milford Sound today and i honestly think its the most beautiful place ive ever been.? This amazing fiord surrounded by huge snowcapped mountains with waterfalls tumbling down them.? Its hard to describe how lovely it was but when you see the photos you'll see.? We also saw seals and went in the underwater observatory to see all the different corals, sponges and fish.?

Fallon is doing a bungy tomora but after my fear at the canyon swing ive decided against it, gonna do a sky dive when we get to Taupo tho (as if somehow im less scared of that!).? Think i'll be tame and go for a walk around the lake and gardens tomora.? Hopefully some friends we left in Franz will catch us up in Queenstown tomora so it may well be the world bar again!
