Life in Oz!
They were supposed to be here by 9am to pick me up and they were right on time at 9:15. We headed for the Eumundi Markets in Eumundi, which is about 45 minutes north of here. The markets were easy to find but breakfast was not. Dad and Gene settled for the first café they saw but Sue, my mom and I walked around for a while checking out all of the different menus. We finally decided on one, had a great breakfast and then hit the market. The market is huge, it is said to have over 300 different stalls. There was a lot of jewellery, kids' clothes and artists. I liked the market a lot but didn't really find much to buy. After the market we headed towards Noosa Heads, which is a resort town about 20K from Eumundi. We found a place to park and walked along the beach for a while before heading back to Mooloolaba to find a hotel for the night. They found a place to stay not too far from the beach. It has been cloudy all day but we still went for a swim in the ocean. The waves were decent so we were out there for quite awhile until it started to drip but it was fairly dark anyway. We headed to the hotel to change and then went back along the beach to find someplace for tea. After reading all of the menus for a one-block radius, we settled on an Italian restaurant. After a wonderful meal we went to the footpath across the street to enjoy the night view of the ocean. They brought me back here so I could finish up my assignment that is due before we head north to the reef.
