WARNING - Do not read this if you are squeamish!! The volcano picture represents what happened in my stomach!

Well just when I thought things couldn´t get any worse I was struck down cruelly with nasty diarrhoea and vomiting, my stomach felt so bloated I thought I was going to explode. Luckily I didn´t! So after a long night alternating between the toilet and the sink I thought I had better go and see a doctor.

I went to a very posh private hospital where they saw me within 10 minutes and after testing my sample it was declared that I had a bacterial infection in my intestines which would definately explain why I felt so rotten! The doctor gave me some massive antibiotics and some friendly bacteria and now I feel so much better. I´m even hungry for the first time in about a week - hooray!

So all is well for the tour which starts this evening and I´m very excited about seeing some more of the country, especially looking forward to relaxing on the beaches of Mexico and Belize and doing some shopping in the markets.
