Thanks to Jason & James we arrived at Tullamarine in plenty of time .We had checked in on line so just had to check out the model plane batteries etc All ok so we went through customs and relaxed with a coffee at Hudsons
We purchased a new camera in anticipation of some great pics. We boarded around 3pm and finally left at 4pm
We had a 11/2 hr stop at Singapore then onto Heathrow landing about 5.30 am Good flight seemed to be lots of food & goodies - nice crew.
We got through the long customs line to rescue our bags from carousel 2. They didn't show 'til 7 am. With bags back packs etc we boarded the train to terminal 4 & then Heathrow central where we caught the train to Paddington. All getting a bit tight for the 8.20 to Paris!
Finally we negotiated steps and line changes to board the train to St Pancras where we need to be now!
We made it only to be told booking was closed and we would have to catch the 9.23 Fortunately we were able to get on at this time.
Oh well we tried - desperately we tried. Phil had some Father's day pounds so we were able to get a well deserved coffee and escargot pastry - all delicious.
We got the call to board Eurostar carriage 14 seats 87 & 88. An attendant was ever so helpful with directions & luggage lifting. We are now heading at quite a fast speed toward Paris where we are due to arrive at 12:47. It's a very smooth ride . Time to relax and enjoy the ride now. We may catch 40 winks or so as well.
