Are you kidding me? .... Part 2
Well we have had a very eventful day today. We started our morning off in Millicent with a trip to the mechanics to fix our boiling car. It was thought to be a thermostat problem and was fixed within an hour and pretty cheap so off we headed towards Adelaide. Stopped at Meningee for lunch and thought we had better check the engine...bad news. Things were getting pretty hot under there again so we headed to the local mechanic. Well, he wasn't the most positive chap and explained that he didn't know what the issue was but it could be anything from a simple radiator cap to a cracked head! Our old mate there wasn't keen on having a crack at it and sent us off on our merry way to Murray Bridge where he thought we could buy a new radiator cap. Turns out they couldn't help us there but on phoning ahead to Mount Barker, found they had the part we were after. Was a nice hilly drive in and The Beast was not happy at all. Had to stop on the freeway and give The Beast a drink then finally got to Mount Barker and bought the cap. Limped off towards Adelaide, loving those hills and anxiously looking at the temperature gauge. Temperature was fine but car didn't sound well at all. Found a caravan park and set up camp in the dark (not a good habit to get into), Adam cooked tea and Jess fell asleep (too much excitement for my baby girl). So the plan for tomorrow is to find a mechanic and stick around for a couple of days until we get some answers! I really don't want to head out to the back of beyond with a dodgy vehicle!
