Beautiful countryside and a bit longer than expected we arrived in Sihanoukville in Southern Cambodia and we were not disappointed. We found cheap accommodation near to the beach and basically chilled for a few days on our first beach since arriving in SE Asia. We ate fresh BBQ'd fish by the sea, drank, met wonderful people, got pampered and bought some fake-ban and Joakley sunglasses (but they ARE polarised to keep the crow's feet at bay a while longer)- this is it in a nut shell really, it was amazing and very welcomed after all our travelling and the intense heat of the last few places we were in.
The first day we nursed our hangover by laying on the beach and literally getting pampered! We both got a manicure, pedicure, I got my nails painted (which was very very badly needed) we both got eyebrow threading and I got my arm pits threaded (muh better than waxing) and Matt got the dead skin scrubbed from his feet! This and a few beers made it a very very very good day. That night we hit our usual haunts and partied till the early hours again with the people we had met the night previous.
Next day we had booked on a boat trip to a beautiful isolated white sandy beach that only allowed the tour company we booked through to go on it as they paid a price and cleaned the beach while we went for a walk through the hottest mangrove river the same colour as our pee after the previous night! The guide was fluent in English and the people we met on the boat, two girls from London and a couple from Sweden. We had snorkelling in the blue waters, music and games on the boat and great company. That night we went out with our new Swedish friends Sven and Corrin (spelling?) to a swedish bar by the sea and had burgers and chips and great chat then on to the usual haunt for some more drinks........the next morning we met for a rough breakfast (us not the food) and said our goodbyes as we had decided the minute we got up that we needed to book our ticket out of Sihanoukville as if we didnt we would get stuck there for a very long time. It was tough as usual to leave friends and a great place but the journey must go on, as must our livers so to Phnom Penh we go (on a bus again lol)

Deesy Aw sounds amazing Sinead!!! Was your threader called "Ha" by any chance, if she was say "Hi Ha!!!" I loved it there too, the bar on the corner as you enter the beach was always hopping!! I ripped a cockroach off my chest there, hilarious for the girls - not for me!!! Im so jealous of ye!! Everything sounds fabulous! I loved Phnom Penh too, was having dinner and a random elephant just strolled down the road past us!!! Brilliant!
