Having dealt with a few blistered toes heels and feet through walking across China and leading Explore treks....may I suggest cold or at least cold water foot soaks, this reduces the swelling of the feet in the hot weather. Also try neat pure lavender aromatherapy oil to heal blister almost instantaneously. Witchhazel on unbroken skin helps tough the skin up. Do not use on broken skin you'll end up cursing a very blue streak. Well done for getting so far on the spawn of the devil boots, what a brand name that would be! Be well and be safe.

Sorry to hear about the blisters. Hope you managed to find a nurse. Having been to Spain some years ago (at one time on a Spanish exchange), I remember listening to the words 'manana manana' coming up in every Spanish conversation and my tutor saying 'everything's manana manana'. This made me realise how laid-back the Spanish are.
Great to get your news but sorry about the blisters. VASBYT.Lots of love M@D.? What does blog mean?

you poor things! I can sympathise - had a similar problem with my boots and feet when we went to Patagonia (but yours sounds a lot worse)! Keep the updates coming - is great to hear what you've been up to. J and K send lots of love. Be safe. Lisa

You guys are nuts. Seriously. But, gotta admire that give-it-a-go attitude! So glad you are having such an awesome experience.
btw you missed an amazing performance by England's rugby team last week...but no doubt you were watching it on some sat-phone or something!

Hi the Water-Beatles (what an awesome sounding surname ("all for one and one for all" - anybody else agree!?!). I have to say that I am really enjoying living vicariously through you guys, being the proverbial arm-chair traveller at present with little Kirsten (just 4 weeks old) and Sue in tow. At least we have one thing in common, I too have been indulging in a few classes of Rioja from the La Rioja valley where Najera is located… at least I did not have to walk 170 km for it - God Bless Tescos, Threshers and Virgin Wines. Keep it up guys and I look forward to the news. Cheers to your progress, Nick
