It has been death by chocolate. And recovery by relaxation! In our exploration of its little Lanes, we discovered every chocolate fiend's dream. It is called Chocywocydoodar(you have to say it like you say it) boudour! To try and describe the chocolate delights that can be found here would definitely not do it justice! It was a place of pure chocolate decadence with a treasure trove of happiness called "chocolate!".
Brighton has revealed itself to be a home from home. And a brilliant place to aid Ing's recovery. How can one complain when a breakfast picnic can be had on the beach not even 100m away! Everything is in easy walking distance. People friendly and very few big brands in site. The steepest uphill is, in fact, up the road back from the beach. But any hill seems steep when you are full up on cereal!
Days are spent without an itinerary. Except to get up, cuppa tea in bed, breakfast, a wonder through the town or a walk across the clifftops, find a spot in the sun, relax, cuppa tea, relax and head back home. Maybe a bath, home made dinner and a night in in front of the box! It is a tough life, but we are having a real go at it! Personally, I think that we are doing a fine job at this whole relaxing malarkey! We highly recommend it as a way of life. Ahhh......
While we have been in Brighton, Ing has been seen by a specialist in Bournemouth. He was very impressed by Ing's progress and how fit and well she is looking so soon after the operation. He had to really look for any scars in Ing's stomach from the surgery. Happily, he gave Ing the all important "fit to travel" certificate! Although it is all good news, Ing is only up to 90% recovered. So it is still "pole, pole"(swahili for slowly, slowly) for the next little while.
Thankfully, we can start getting ourselves organised again for the next stages of our world trip! The world is calling, and we can now answer!
