Did you know that on the way to Jo'burg, we went through Europe? Absolutely. We saw Amsterdam, Belfast, Carolina, Dundee, Newcastle and Utrecht! The city of Jo'burg sat on seams of gold and other minerals that made men rich beyond their dreams! And when men can make "quick" money, they come in their droves! And the names of the towns in the region are testimony to a colorful and cosmopolitan population from a time past.

Travelling through the crop covered lands, seemingly empty, would be in stark contrast, we knew, to the islands of Hong Kong our next stop and we drank it all in.

But Ing has K-blood that flows thick and fast in her veins and a visit to KPMG Jo'burg was mandatory (she was getting twitchy!). But with time short, we could only "bum" a business breakfast on the morning where we flying! Thanks Ingrid G & Daphne!

It was not long before Africa receded into the distance and it was with sad hearts that we left; we didn't get a chance to see so many people with our very limited time back in the city, but they were never far from our thoughts…..and Ing had stopped twitching because she had got her K-fix!
