Hello!
Yesterday we went to Whitianga on the coromandel peninsular. Today we are in Rotorua. We passed through hobbiton today, not all that great but at least we have been there. We went zorbing earlier, which was wicked. Basically you get into a giant hamster ball with a bucket of warm water. They zip you inside and roll down a hill and we just slide all over the place inside. Well funny!! Tonightwe are going to a maori concert and hangi, which should be great! Tomorrow, we are off to waitomo. We shall be going black water rafting , caving and absailing and maybe quad bikes!!! so we are quite action packed at the moment!! SWEET BRO. Even tho merv is a big jessie about his jet lag....... HATE TO SAY I TOLD YOU SOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! It really stinks in rotorua!!! there is a sulphur smell from the volcanic activity!!
Merv has been telling me all about how fantastic weston is....inbetween me going on and on and on and on about what ive been doing, i think he will be glad to go home!!! Anyhoooooo thats me for now!!!see you in 5 months!!!

Hey Sam, how are you? am very impressed by your website, the photos are amazing but im not at all jealous- how can you possibly compare to the delights of sunny weston!?
we all miss you so much, went to hobbits on friday but its never the same without you. i expect Merv will be there by now, i hope you are both having a great time together (any chance you will come back early with him!?) where abouts are you at the moment- its hard to keep track of you! are you working?

Saw Merv this mornining before he set off on his journey. We sent lots of hugs with him. Vicki gave him a big bear hug to send to you. I thought I'd have frightened him to death if I had done the same so I just asked him to give you a hug from me. Hope you have a lovely time together.

Its 7 months today i left england!! can you believe it?
Went to rangitoto on tuesday, its a volcanoe in the harbour outside auckland. It came out of the sea 600 years ago. Wicked views from the summit, which we walked up to, it was a beautiful day too! I will post some pictures of it eventually. Also there is lava tubes too, which you can walk through, very cool, the entrance looked very much like the mines of moria to me!!!!
I didnt get anymore work after monday, I think the girl i was covering for must have been dragged in just so i didnt have to work again!!
ON wednesday we went for a drive over to a nice beach, cant remember what it was called, but that was awesome. It looks like a good surfing beach. Also home to a gannet colony. There was heaps of bush there and it was nice and unspoilt like the rest of newzealand, im sure if it was England thre would at the very least be an icecream shop or 2, a tacky gift shop or a hundred, a big hotel, guest houses. etcetc
I am moving back to the hostel in town tomorrow for a couple of nights, then we will be going down to whitianga on tuesday, rotorua on wednesday, Friday we are going to Whakatane (hopefully go for a dive here), monday te kaha, tuesday somewhere i cant remember the name, wednesday Gisbourne, Thursday Taupo, Friday back to auckland for mervs flight home. Thats if all goes to plan!!!

tara im so glad your going travelling! its fantastic, you are going to have a wicked time!!! I will be back in fine old england october 13th at 11am! i hope all you nastys going have a......... great time at glastonbury. I hate you all, please tell jack white i still love him! i just got your letter nan. Thanks for the photos, it reminded me of just how nutty we all are. I liked the newspaper artical with JAck! thats was just typical......I like my lollypop lady because she stops the cars squashing me! made me laugh! yes had a job today, i had to dress smart (haha can you imagine!!) then was pretty much chucked in the deep end answering phones and doing the exciting things you do in offices such as putting stuff in envelopes. OH WHAT Fun. but it was money and it was 15 bucks an hour.... cant complain. it was actually nice to work 9-5. For some unknown reason. But again my suspisions are confirmed, i hate working in offices.
I cant believe how time has flown. Those pics nan sent me were of my 18th birthday, in a couple of months i am going to be 20---ohmygod. I know that as soon as this monday comes time will fly past, when i start travellingand busy busy everyday. before i know it im going to be on that plane from LA to London, ARGH.
But for now im here having a wicked time, im feeling extremly happy too!!! Clare who i used to work on the boat with is coming to auckland this weekend, shes great so might meet with her, Then of course merv is here MOnday. How brave is he coming on his first flight and it will be about 26hours!
I cannot believe you have got another hamster. you know how bad our pets are. Is this one as crazy as the last? well you know what they say about dogs and their owners, maybe it goes for all pets!!
I had a laugh at myself the other day.... i came out side from a shop and a really pretty skinny girl says to me.... would you like to be a model for the day..........Well as you can imagine i cracked up and said what me? she says with a look like she has poo under her nose.... yes a hair model.... turns out i just had to have my hair done in a certain way and then put glitter in it and then she would wash it out. Ok i said, i had nothing better to do that day, thinking it would take an hour. 4 HOURS LATER she was still blowdrying my hair. I was sooooo bored. How long have you been on the course i ask? 7months she said!!!! 7 months!!!!!!
Jonny i wish you could have stayed on theboat longer, i gotta admit doing that 6 day stint with you and nikki and the guys was one of the most memorable things!!!
Also somehting else..... IM GOING TO BE IN ENGLAND FOR HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!! YAY for the first time for ages!!! heaven knows why im so excited about that, but i am. Im sure it will be really disappointing in the end but hey any excuse for fancy dress!!!!!!

Just got your text about your new job as a receptionist for a bed company......well done. Knowing you and how much sleep you like, I'm sure you will be testing a few out. Purely so you can recommend which bed is the best of course!!!

Buenos dias senorita.... I am learning spanish for my trip!!! Anne and I told the guides of my plans on thursday and so you have to come back in september/october!!!
