Hello all! We have been in New Zealand for the past 3weeks ish and been having los of fun!

We have almost finished the north island and are flying to the south in 2 days time.
Whilst we have been on the north island we have been to Auckland-boring, grey but we bought a tent called frank! Then we went to Taupo and went on a really long walk!!! But we found some lovely waterfalls and watched people bungy! Then we went onto rotorua where there is loads of geothermal activity so there is steam coming out of the ground everywhere! Very strange so we went into some natural hot springs for the day-like having a hot bath that doesn’t get cold it was great! However all our stuff smells like rotten eggs because of the sulphur! Then onto wellington except we didn’t stay in wellington we stayed in a suburb of it called porirua where we camped for the 1st time-it’s freezing!!!! But we are poor so we have to deal with it lol  we looked around porirua-nice place and we went to an aqua park where there was a really good slide-Sammy and I had it to our selves most of the day! Then onto Napier-art deco city of the world, everything was square because they had a massive earthquake in 1931 and when the built it back in was art deco time. We stayed at a holiday park and tried the local beer and wine there; we also went on a lovely walk along the coast. Then onto Taranga where they have a massive jazz festival-I can see grandma being here she would love it!  We took a look around looked at the volcano and are going to go onto the south island soon.
We have decided to do a bungy on the south island as we can’t afford the skydive but we will hopefully be doing the largest bungy in the world! The Nervis (type it into YouTube) looks crazy!
Anyway we will see everyone in 3 months and 19 days time! As we have done 5 months today! but think the next few months will be a struggle what with money being very low! lol  Lots of love Rachel and Sammy xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
