hello everyone! sorry to not have updated for ages we have been onlittle island where there are no computers and no electricity! anyway lots to tell and not much time.....
we have been kayaking with a few friends-was very funny asd the tide decided to go out so we got stranded on the coral and had to walk back with the kayaks! but was very good fun!
also we have been snorkling which in fiji is always good! saw some amazing fish was almost as good as the great barrier reef! we saw sharks, sea snakes, nemo, bright blue fish, blue starfish the lot!
we have had lots of partys as the booze is always free! (so lots of drinking games etc...) We had a fab moustache party, it was sooo much fun wait untill you see the pics i think sammy and i had the best ones! we also celebrated my 20th birthday the staff baked me a cake with my name on it and there was punch and lots of dancing with friends!
another night, we met a fijian called danny who owns and island in the mamanoca group, a tiny little uninhabited island which a big group of us decided to spontaniously get onto a boat with him and stay the night! we had a big bonfire and ate loads of fish! was great fun, amazing!
also we went island hopping to about 5 other island and a sand bank, quite literally a big bit of sand in the middle of the sea! did some jumping photos and some extreme cricket (see photos).
we took a few walks around the island saw lots of different things and had a laugh!
we have also seen lots of island shows which are fab we almost got involved ourselves as there were not enough staff one evening (not sure how we got out of that one!) but the songs are always stuck in our heads!
in fiji they have a traditional drink called kava which is horrid but you have! to drink or its rude! it just looks like muddy water and tastes like it too! speaking of which, the manager of the hostel we are in at the moment is making some for us! noooooo!!!!
in fiji we have made sooooo many friends as you can probaly tell from our facebook page and we all plan to meet up in london sometime soon when everyone is home :) saying this, sammy and i met the one guy who actually lives in the exact same village as sammy! yes, we met someone in the same hostel in fiji from hothfield!MAD
saw lots of reef sharks, went and helped out at a school for the day teaching english, and playing with the children was great fun! we have also visited the famous muscat cove where lots of famous people take their yaughts. we have been up to some lookouts, also there was a wedding which we were invited (another party), and we have seen some planes fly in on the tinest landing strips ever!
anyway that is that i think if anything is missed out im sure we will mention it when we are home which is very soon :) photos i promis will be up soon :) lots love Rachel and Sammy xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
