We arrived at Scotty's Beach House at about 1:00pm, got our rooms and we just crashed out in our room as we were both feeling really rough after the bus journey and being hungover! There is a huge pool here and a big kitchen area and on our first night people were having a BBQ so we went to the local supermarket and bought supplies and had a bit of dinner. We are not going to be doing any white water rafting here as it seems alot of money so we are going to wait until we get to New Zealand. That way we can look at our finances and have a better idea if we can afford it. It is defo something that we want to do though!

The next day was so so hot so we just chilled by the pool and improved on our tans a little bit more. Unless you are going to do a skydive or WWR then there isnt alot to do apart from chill out.... which is fine with us! For dinner we made pasta and shared it with our dorm mates..Kim from Guilford and Emily from Sweden. We had an early night but there was alot of dramas going on in the night. Lots of people stayed up drinking goon and this one girl got so so drunk that she fell out of bed and smacked her mouth and one of her front teeth is now up in her gum. She went to hospital at about 3:30am and came back in the afternoon and she was in so much pain.. u could tell just by looking at her. Another girl had a panick attack.. all in our first night!! DRAMAS!!

The next day we took a stroll to the biggest supermarket chain in Australia... but they were closed as it was a Sunday and being away we have completly lost track of the days. We went to a little grocery store got what we needed and then walked back to Scotty's. Throughout the day it was raining quite hard so we couldnt sunbathe or go in the pool so we played cards with the girls in our dorm. We had corn on the cob for dinner and then we had to pack in the evening as we had to check out by 10am.

Today we are going to Townsville which is about a 3 hour bus ride (we think!) We checked out at 10 but we are still allowed to hang around until the bus comes to get us. Townsville is apparently like Cairns as it is a town but still there isnt much to do but we will just have to wait and see!!!
