hello everyone!!

finally got round to writing a new blog!! we have been very busy! got to new zealand on wed night and we are now 13 hours ahead of england which is mental and confusing!! we stayed in a lovley place called the skylodge by the sirport on wed and thurs night and it was so cosy which is good because new zeland is cold!! especially compared to cairns we have dropped about 20 degrees!!! brrrr. so thursday morning (well afternoon...we didnt get up til 1pm!) we got the bus into town and sorted ourselevs a little campervan for a couple of weeks and we are going to see as much as we can of both island that way becuase its so cheap because we have travel and accomodation in one! we have a nice little campervan its almost like a white transitvan in shape and size but its got like seats that turn into a big double bed and a little kitchen ste at the back with a hob and grill which is very handy and its even got a little awning that attaches to the back when u have the boot up!! love it its so cute and cosy.

so we drove it back to the hostel and stayed there on thurs and then we got up early on fri and drove to a big shopping cnetre where we bought warm clothes and boots, super cheap aswell may i add, lots of sales on! and then we headed out of auckland to roturua as we can do auckland when we get back from our campervan trip! roturua is nice its on top of a valcano so there is lots of bubbling pools of mud and things its really mad, everywhere is smoking and steaming crazy. we had a look aorund the little town and did a little bit more camping shopping and then settled by a park for the night. at 2 in the morning they started putting up a bloody market on the park which was annoying so we moved next to a backpackers hostel!! had a cosy sleep, its very cold but we have big duvets so we can get cosy plus theres 3 of us in a double bed.

this morning we woke up and drove to the swimming pool and had a swim and a dip in the lovely hot indoor and outdoor spas! it was lovely and we also got free use of showers etc which was handy! cooked some cheese on toast out the back of the van and looked aorund this little market that was on and then packed up the van and heaed to lake taupo where we are now! only took about an hour to get here, the scenery is lovely, so green and mountainous and when we got here is was ace becuase the mountains around the lake are covered in snow and they look so pretty. we are staying here tonight and then moving to wellington in the morning for a night or 2 before getting the ferry to the sound island. we are packing plenty in!!
