We met up with Bri, Kate and Kahlee in Muinee and splurged on a nice place to stay. There wasn't much to do there or many people except for an old lady frowning out of her door that was ajar at us as we frolicked in the pool.
The next day we rode to some ruins that I'm sure they had chipped away at to look more ruined. There were even cigarette butts on sticks in the religious offerings chimney like thing. They also charged us the price of a beer to park our scooters in the middle of nowhere!
I have been comparing everything to the price of a beer as a standard commodity to see if it's worthwhile.
Next we were off to check out some sand dunes and as we entered the area a man sprinted out into the path of my speeding scooter to get my sale of his board. This angered me so we found a secluded spot further down and entertained ourselves riding my scooter in turns around the sand dunes and down to the beach.
On the highway a bus and a truck seemed to be racing around a corner at high speed with the passenger encouraging his truck like you would a horse while he looked at us. The bus then overtook a car and the truck overtook the bus so they were three up on a two way road. The truck finally gave in and hit the brakes when it saw a scooter coming around the next corner. I'm glad it wasn't one of us.
We then rode back to the boarding area and I threw my new Frisbee with Bri. As we left they tried to charge us for parking again but this time we just rode off.
To get to our next stop, Nha Trang, we had to stay up until the bus was arriving to pick us up at 1am. It didn't arrive until 2am and we definitely won't be doing that again as it was too hard and uncomfortable to stay awake until then.
