Friends!!! Yayyyyyyy!!!! It was so great to see Scottie and Tash, and Loz, Bec and Chantelle in Phuket. As soon as we got in and got to our very nice air conditioned hotel we slept for 6 hours so we'd have the energy to meet up with everyone after our long flight.

We met the girls for dinner at their hotel and were then joined by Scottie and Tash for drinks in Patong. Patong is quite crazy with the main strip littered with lady boys (or girls, weren't entirely sure half the time) and they were particular grabby and full on towards everyone. Connect 4 is also the staple entertainment where the barmaids will challenge you to play, sometimes even placing bets where you have to buy them drinks, if you lose, which was all but guaranteed.

Next day Sammy and I got up and went for a ride around the island on the scooter. A better one this time which was automatic and had a bit more grunt than the Malaysian one. The ride was abouthours long and we had really saw bottoms by the end but we were able to come to the conclusion that where we were staying in Karon was pretty much the best place to be. We had a late lunch with Scottie and Tash and saw a painting they were getting a Thai artist to do which was gorgeous. We chilled out some more with the girls at their hotel and had some dinner at a nice Thai restaurant with everyone. Tash had to unfortunately work the next day after their flight back to Singapore first thing in the morning so Sammy rode them BOTH (as in three on the scooter) back to their hotel where they kindly donated their free mini bar snacks and drinks to our cause. It was much appreciated as we sat on the beach and went swimming with the girls that night.

It was our last night in Phuket (we'll be heading back later in our trip I think) and great to see friends again. We're definitely looking forward to seeing the girls later this week in Ko Phangan.
