A lot of people had suggested to us that Medellin was a great place to visit. We still can't work out why. We thought it was okay but there wasn't really a whole lot to do. After arriving and catching the public train (which was pretty great) to our hostel we decided to head into the city to look around. There wasn't a whole lot to see or do so we decided to find a cinema to watch a movie. On our way there a guy walked past us and told us to put our camera away 'because it's f***ing dangerous'. It didn't seem too bad to us but we put it away regardless. We found a nice shopping centre before too long and saw a great movie with Bruce Willis about surrogates (robots). It was a lot better than expected and definitely the highlight of our time in Medellin. We left the following day and headed to Cali.
