We stayed at the Shangri-la Tanjung Aru resort, just out of Kota Kinabalu town, on the coast. We took the short trip by ferry to the protected island reserve. Watch out for the VERY BIG Komodo Dragons....and the monkeys that will raid your bags while you are swimming! Don't worry about the burgers and don't ask what was in them.....it's probably not the same standard as Burgerking!!

We loved reading your blog Sammy and seeing the photos - the children look so cute! Glad you are getting used to the climate - the humidity is unbelievable isn't it!!
Hard to believe that it's been snowing here all day. Lucy went up to Sheffield for the weekend and it took her over 5 hours as the train kept being delayed by signal failures with all the snow.
Jim is off to Dubai tomorrow (flights permitting) so he will not be suffering from the cold!
